Int’l shipping policy

We are proud to ship our products to customers all over the world.

Importer of Record

When ordering from JAPANIQUE, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. Title and risk of loss for items ordered will transfer to the recipient when the items are handed over to the postal service or to the courier in Japan (as per Incoterms 2010, CIP).

Prior to delivery to the recipient, the shipment may be subject to customs fees, import duties, taxes, and other charges applicable in the destination country. These charges are always the recipient’s responsibility. For further details, please read the Customs, Duties & Taxes section below.

Note: If you have a courier account number (FedEx, UPS, DHL) and pay the shipping cost yourself, you can choose your own designated courier service. In this case, you should take out your own shipping insurance as well. Title and risk of loss for items ordered will transfer to the recipient on pick-up by or delivery to the carrier in Japan (as per Incoterms 2010, FCA Osaka).

Restrictions

Eligibility for shipping under the terms of our international shipping policy depends on the destination country.

Shipping

All international orders will be shipped via postal carrier (EMS) or a courier (UPS, FedEx, DHL). Provisional international shipping delivery times are available on these carriers’ websites.

Ccustoms, Duties & Taxes

The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. You may be subject to any import duties and taxes that are levied once the package reaches the country of destination. Tariffs and customs policies vary widely from country to country. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Please contact your local customs office for more information.

Note: Customs offices in some countries require the importer of record to provide a particular form of identification or unique identification number such as a Tax ID before releasing a shipment.

Limitations

Please note that products shipped internationally must meet certain destination country standards, specifications, and labeling requirements. The customer is responsible for determining that the products ordered can be lawfully and legally imported into the destination country.

Privacy

Please note that international shipments may be opened for inspection by customs authorities. Additionally, information about your order, shipment and products contained therein may be communicated to our shippers and the customs authorities as part of the customs clearance process.

Returns

To ensure you are fully satisfied with your choice, we offer a very flexible returns policy. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return any item (with the exception of custom-made items) in its original condition within 14 days of the shipment arriving for a refund or an exchange (the 14 day period begins on the date you receive your order). If an item is returned, a 20% restocking fee (20% of original order value) will be charged. This restocking fee is non-refundable. Please see our Return and Exchange Policy for more information.
