KAGA YUZEN SILK TEXTLE FRAME / SAKURA

Description

The hand-painted Kaga Yuzen dyeing technique is normally used for Japanese traditional clothes, kimono. The artisan, Mr. Hisatsune, wants more people to become acquainted with yuzen art and to appreciate the beauty of its textile frames. Sakura is a traditional motif of Japanese beauty. This textile is colored with real sakura dye made from sakura petals. This is rare, even in the Japanese art market.

Note: The lacquered frame is not included in the price. However, the frame in the sample picture is available for order.
